Sharmishtha Dattagupta on Bliss and Wellness
I believe that wellness and bliss are the foundations for a life well lived. For me, they come from day-to-day choices including the food I eat, the people I spend time with, the work I invest my energy in, the place I live in, and the actions I take to nourish my body, mind, and spirit. When I make these choices following my heart, rather than my fear, I find myself in a space of flow and ease, where the grace of life carries me through ups and downs that invariably come my way.
But my life didn't always look like this. I spent many years struggling with depression, fatigue, and unresolved traumas. My healing started when I began to reconnect with nature- both outside myself – by mindfully spending time among trees, birds, and animals – and inside myself – through meditation, and by following my true purpose and callings. I've learnt many powerful tools and practices along my journey to personal transformation, which I'm immensely grateful for, and keen to pass on to others.
